onPEAK-System presented several innovative I/O products with Classical CAN and CAN FD connections in this year's Embedded World trade show.
The versatile control unit PCAN-MicroMod FD ECU integrates customer-specific accessories for automotive applications. For this purpose, the device offers a CAN FD connection and a combination of analog and digital I/Os. The I/O processing and message transmission can be configured using Windows software and transmitted via the CAN Bus connection. The rugged enclosure with two automotive connectors permits commercial and heavy-duty vehicles to operate under harsh environmental conditions. In addition, the PCAN-MicroMod FD ECU supports the communication standards SAE J1939 and SAE J1939 FD, which are standard in commercial vehicles.
Furthermore, PEAK-System introduced their new programmable sensor module PCAN-GPS FD. Current sensors include a satellite receiver, a magnetic field sensor, an acceleration sensor, and a gyroscope to determine position and orientation. The received data can be processed using the integrated microcontroller based on Arm Cortex-M4 and transmitted via Classical CAN or CAN FD. The supplied development package allows the modification of the sensor module's functionality to match specific application requirements.
SAE J1939 Starter Kit And Network Simulator
The SAE J1939 starter kit allows you to monitor, simulate, and record any PGN as defined in the SAE J1939-71 Standard but also including diagnostic messages according to SAE J1939-73.
The starter kit was not designed to simulate specific diesel engines, but if you enter all PGNs that are being used, you can design and simulate any diesel engine.
