CAN Bus Transceiver Modules With Isolated DC/DC Converter In One Module
Posted by
onMornsun CAN Bus transceiver modules replace the traditional design by integrating transceiver, isolation chip, and high efficient DC/DC isolated power in one module. The modules can be used for inter-communications between devices on the industrial bus, achieving the signal transmission and power isolation. They target the automotive industry, rail transportation, smart monitoring, smart meters, and more.
Mornsun recently launched the ±4-kV high surge protection isolated CAN Bus transceivers TD501DCANHE and TD301DCANHE with EMC performance. The series offers two optional voltages of 3.3 VDC and 5 VDC.
The transceivers are designed to withstand high voltage transients of up to 15 kV IEC ESD (air discharge), 8 kV IEC ESD (contact discharge), and 4 kV surge. Due to its EMC performance, the series not only has low electromagnetic radiation and high resistance to electromagnetic interference but also can run consistently in a robust interference environment. The specification of the bus-side output allows the connection of up to 110 transceivers to one CAN Bus network.
PiCAN2 Duo Isolated CAN-Bus Board for Raspberry Pi 2/3/B+
This PiCAN2 DUO ISO board provides two independent isolated CAN-Bus channels for the Raspberry Pi 2, 3, or B+.
It uses the Microchip MCP2515 CAN controller with ISO1050 isolated CAN transceiver. Connections are made via 4 way screw terminal plugs.
There is an easy-to-install SocketCAN driver, and programming can be accomplished in C or Python.
