Compact Diagnostic Device for Standard CAN Bus and CAN FD Networks
Posted by
onPeak-System’s diagnostic device PCAN-Minidiag FD is available for sales. Supported by a variety of functions, the device can be used to check Standard CAN Bus and CAN FD networks single-handedly.
The German company has announced the handheld device for basic diagnostics and functionality checks of Classical CAN and CAN FD networks. The battery-powered device has functions to display, for example, the network termination, bus load, message and error counters, as well as the voltage levels at the CAN Bus connection.
Users can access any CAN Bus network in a matter of seconds utilizing automatic transmission rate detection. Bit timing measurements are used to determine the nominal bit rate for Classical CAN and the data bit rate for CAN FD. The product can be operated with one hand due to its small size of 122 mm x 69 mm x 44 mm, and it fits into any standard jacket pocket.
The device is suitable for service technicians, and developers who want to access unknown CAN Bus networks in vehicles, machines, or industrial facilities and perform diagnostics. The PCAN-Minidiag FD comes with a D-Sub connector, an OLED display, a membrane keyboard including four keys, and an enclosure with enhanced IP42 ingress protection.
