Kontron Flatclient MAR - ROBUST AND FLEXIBLY CONFIGURABLE PANEL PC FOR MARITIME APPLICATIONS SPECIFICATIONS

Kontron introduced the Flatclient MAR, a panel PC for maritime applications. It is DNV GL- and IEC60945/IACS E10-compliant, making it suitable for national and international shipping, marine engineering structures, and offshore wind farms.

The panel PC's design withstands extreme environmental conditions such as temperature fluctuation, vibration, and splash water. Its graphics performance ensures detailed map displays and readability even in difficult lighting conditions.

The design supports command bridge and control room applications with installation in control cabinets, consoles, or control desks. The HMI (Human Machine Interface) operates via a capacitive multi-touch screen with various Intel x86 processors that enable reliable performance. The product series is available in six display sizes ranging from 10.1" to 21.5". The glare-free and flush glass front, a maximum resolution of 1920 pixels × 1080 pixels and a brightness of up to 500 cd/m2, and (remotely) controllable backlighting guarantee readability and visibility.

The device configuration is complemented by a variable memory of up to 16 GiB and an SSD with up to 512 GiB. Furthermore, two GB Ethernet and four USB interfaces are available. Display interfaces are also available for connecting additional display units, e.g., for maintenance. Further options include serial interfaces such as CAN Bus (Classical CAN), EIA-232, EIA-422, EIA-485), and RFID, which is configurable. Furthermore, the devices can be modified for customer-specific branding.

The front panel, which is compliant with protection class IP65, is protected against dust and water jets. The metal housing withstands the environmental conditions in maritime applications and functions according to IEC 60068-2-52 (saltwater spray test). A cooling concept and economic system components allow for fanless and maintenance-free operation.

The nominal supply voltage is 24 VDC, with a tolerance range of -25 % to +30 %.
