Axiomatic AX140x00 Protocol Converter SAE J1939 SAE J1587 Modbus RTU

The Axiomatic AX140x00 Protocol Converter is an electrically isolated gateway between up to 2 SAE J1939 ports, CANopen, SAE J1587, RS485 or Modbus RTU and other combinations on request.

The design addresses the harsh environments of engine applications. The CAN Bus gateway operates on 12 VDC or 24 VDC nominal power. A block library is available for modeling the converter using Mathworks' Simulink development system.

  • Acts as a gateway or interface between CAN buses with different baud rates and protocols (SAE J1939- SAE J1939 or SAE J1939-CANopen)
  • Fast data exchange between a CAN network (SAE J1939 or CANopen) and a RS-485 bus (SAE J1587 or Modbus RTU)
  • 2 Isolated CAN ports (CAN 2.0B)
  • 1 Isolated RS-485 serial port
  • Operational from 9 to 36 VDC (12 VDC, 24 VDC nominal)
  • Integrated Deutsch IPD 12-pin connector
  • Fully sealed enclosure with a rugged IP67 protection rating
  • Compact size
  • CE mark
  • User configurable using Axiomatic Electronic Assistant
  • Mathworks Simulink block library is available

SAE J1939 to RS232 & USB Gateway With 9-Pin Deutsch Connection Cable

The jCOM.J1939.SER gateway is a high-performance, low-latency, wireless vehicle network adapter for SAE J1939 applications. It allows any host device with an RS232 or USB port to monitor SAE J1939 data traffic and communicate with the SAE J1939 vehicle network. An SAE J1939 cable, suited for a 9-pin Deutsch connection, is included with the gateway.

The gateway supports the full SAE J1939 protocol according to J1939/81 Network Management (Address Claiming) and J1939/21 Transport Protocol (TP). It is also supported by an extensive programming interface for Windows and Linux/Ubuntu applications, including full C/C++/C# source code for short time-to-market developments.
