Bluetooth Low Energy Module For Enterprise Internet of Things (EIoT) Applications

Posted by Industry News on

Laird BL652 SERIES - BLUETOOTH V4.2 + NFCThe BL652 module by Laird is designed to simplify RF design and certification efforts for EIoT (Enterprise Internet of Things) projects while delivering enhanced security via the Nordic nRF52 Chipset and BLE 4.2 technology. By utilizing the BL652, engineers and designers can integrate highly-secure Bluetooth Smart capabilities into EIoT applications. The BL652 is a fully-integrated, stand-alone BLE and NFC solution ideal for a number of applications including EIoT devices in industrial or commercial settings, medical peripherals, as well as sensors and beacons. The module also features security as well as power performance, critical for many EIoT applications where BLE devices must run battery-powered for an extended amount of time without human intervention.

Based on the Nordic nRF52 series, the module’s small 14 x 10 mm form factor, optimized low power applications. The module gives customers the freedom to design either with the Nordic Software Development Kit or smartBasic. The smartBASIC option provides a stand-alone Bluetooth environment for any embedded design that enables designers without BLE design experience and C programming experience to complete projects. Companies who have worked with the Laird BL600 module in the past can transition those applications over to the BL652 module.
