NEOUSYS Technology NRU-110V Series NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier Edge AI Platform Supporting 8x GMSL Automotive Cameras and 10G Ethernet

The NRU-110V computer system by NEOUSYS Technology (Taiwan) supports eight automotive cameras, 10G Ethernet, and one isolated CAN Bus (Classical CAN) interface for in-vehicle communication.

The device integrates the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier SOM (System-On-Module), including the Volta GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) and the Carmel CPU. Using the 10G Ethernet interface, the computer acts as a camera sensor hub by streaming real-time images to other computer systems. In addition to the CAN Bus interface, the device carries one EIA-232 port for GPS input and isolated digital I/Os to connect sensors and actuators. The GPS pulse-per-second (PPS) input performs time synchronization between multiple platforms. There are also three USB ports and one mini PCIe socket for the WiFi or the 4G mobile network module. A 32-GiB eMMC and an M.2 2280 NVMe socket for SSD (Solid-State Drive) read/write performance is available for data storage.

The device's video input accepts commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) automotive cameras and supports features such as water-proof ability, high dynamic range, auto white balance, and LED flickering reduction. Consequently, the image quality does not depend on brightness conditions, from rainy or bright sunny days to pitch-black nights. The computer requires a power supply of 8 VDC to 35 VDC and operates at temperatures from -25 °C to +70 °C. The 30 W power consumption design allows operation time extension for battery-powered machines, such as autonomous mobile robots (AMR). The PC is especially suitable for AI-based vision applications requiring constant interaction with their surroundings, such as AMR, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), V2X (Vehicle-to-any Communication), and more.
