Lanner V3G Fanless Vehicle Gateway Computer with Intel Atom x7-E3950 Processor

Lanner Electronics has launched their fanless V3 Series vehicle gateway controllers, the V3G and V3S. While the V3G is targeted for smart bus implementation, including fleet management and passenger information display, V3S aims at video surveillance, recording and analytics. The V3 series gateways can operate under an extended temperature range of -40~70°C.

Both, the V3G and V3S feature the 14 nm Intel Atom x7-E3950 SoC (formerly Apollo Lake). V3G provides I/O peripheral connectivity including 2 x serial COM ports, 2 x video output by DVI-D, USB and Digital I/O ports, 2 x RJ-45 LAN ports and SATA/mSATA storage options. To enable wireless network connectivity, the V3G offers 2 x mini-PCIe sockets with swappable SIM slot supporting 3G/4G/LTE cellular communications. In addition, the system comes with an option of CAN bus for concerns of driving behavior analysis.

Designed for In-vehicle Surveillance NVR, the V3S offers 2 x GbE RJ45 ports plus 4 x RJ-45 PoE ports for IP camera connection, and removable 2.5”HDD/SSD drive bay for storage. For wireless connectivity, V3S is internally built with 1 x full-sized Mini-PCIe with dual SIM card reader, 1 x half-sized Mini-PCIe, and 1 x external Mini-PCIe 3.0 with dual SIM card readers.

Since vehicles are constantly in motion, non-flat road surfaces may be frequently encountered. By taking this into considerations, the V3 Series is compliant with E13 standard and has passed MIL-STD-810G shock and vibration resistance certifications to ensure proper operations when traveling on non-flat surfaces. Temperature is another concern when installed within a vehicle interior. Therefore, V3 Series is built to support a temperature range, from -40 to 70°C.

SAE J1939 to Bluetooth Gateway With 9-Pin Deutsch Connection Cable

SAE J1939 to Bluetooth Gateway With 9-Pin Deutsch Connection Cable

The jCOM.J1939.BT gateway is a high-performance, low-latency, wireless vehicle network adapter for SAE J1939 applications. It allows any host device with a Bluetooth COM port to monitor SAE J1939 data traffic and communicate with the SAE J1939 vehicle network. An SAE J1939 cable, suited for a 9-pin Deutsch connection, is included with the gateway.

The gateway supports the full SAE J1939 protocol according to J1939/81 Network Management (Address Claiming) and J1939/21 Transport Protocol (TP). It is also supported by an extensive programming interface for Windows and Linux/Ubuntu applications, including full C/C++/C# source code for short time-to-market developments.
