Wi-Fi Enabled Microcontroller Module For IoT Development Of Products Powered By AWS

Posted by Industry News on

Embedded Artists LPC54018 IOT MODULE

The LPC54018 IoT module, developed by NXP in partnership with Embedded Artists, is self-contained, high performance, Wi-Fi enabled microcontroller module for the development of products powered by AWS. The Module is CE and FCC certified.

The LPC54018 IoT module can be used standalone or plugged into the IoT Module baseboard for rapid product development and prototyping.

Developers can choose to use debug probes from partners SEGGER or P&E Micro, or the LPC-Link2 debug probe from Embedded Artists and NXP.

Amazon Web Services - AWS

The LPC54018 IoT module is Amazon FreeRTOS enabled, ready for use in designs powered by AWS. Amazon FreeRTOS is an open-source MCU operating system built on the FreeRTOS kernel, offers developers a universal connection to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.

PiCAN with GPS - Gyro - Accelerometer CAN-Bus Board for Raspberry Pi 3

PiCAN with GPS - Gyro - Accelerometer CAN-Bus Board for Raspberry Pi 3

The PiCAN GPS board provides CAN-Bus and GPS capability for the Raspberry Pi. It uses the Microchip MCP2515 CAN controller. CAN connections are made via 4 way screw terminal plugs. The GPS is provided by a 66-channels MTK3339 chipset module. An onboard battery holder exists for a CR1225 cell. The backup power is for the real time clock and helps reduce startup times. The GPS module has a built-in patch antenna but an external active antenna can also be used via uFL connector.

The MPU-6050 provides six axis gyro and accelerometer with an onboard Digital Motion Processor (DMPTM) capable of processing complex 9-axis MotionFusion algorithms. It does away with the cross-axis alignment problems that can creep up on discrete parts.

Easy to install SocketCAN driver. Programming can be done in C or Python.
