PingPong IoT Quick Start Kit with Extensions

The Pingpong hardware platform by Round Solutions is an embedded IoT/M2M system specifically made for software developers. The platform supports extension boards that add almost unlimited capabilities. The product can be used to develop physical devices connecting to the web. It’s literally plug, push, and play. It comes with both wired and wireless connectivity. The device is available in two open-source versions. While the RTOS version comes with a 32-bit micro-controller running in C/C++, the Linux version uses an ARM Cortex processor for even more functionality and applications. The base circuit boards also have a CAN interface, a Telit cellular module, as well as a positioning component for the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). The evaluation kit comes with a dedicated M2M/IoT SIM card and connectivity to a cloud platform.

The base circuit board can be extended by one or more extension boards like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, I/O, Iridium satellite communication, radio frequency, NFC/RFID, and camera interface boards. It is a plug-and-play solution that works, as soon as the extension board is plugged onto the baseboard. Through hardware extensions, as well as customized firmware variants, the product can be used for a range of IoT/M2M applications, e.g. a sensor reading device, an asset tracking, a router, a metering/telemetry device and security surveillance devices.

Programming for the Internet of Things: Using Windows 10 IoT Core and Azure IoT Suite (Developer Reference)

Creating programs for the Internet of Things offers you an opportunity to build and program custom devices whose functionality is limited only by your imagination.

This book teaches you to do exactly that, with solutions presented in a step-by-step format.
